The Oracle Infinite Possibilities College Scholarship

About the Scholarship:

Six college scholarships in the amount of $1000 will be awarded to students who intend to major in mathematics or statistics; other related majors (engineering, computer science) will be considered as well. Short interviews will be conducted with finalists on Friday evening and Saturday morning. The scholarship awardees will be announced during the Dr. Etta Z. Falconer Awards Banquet on Saturday evening. This award is made possible by the Oracle Corporation.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a current high school senior, college student or community college student
  • Must complete registration process and attendance at IPC is required
  • Students are expected to present a poster at the conference
  • Must major or intend to major in one of the following fields: mathematics, statistics, engineering, or computer science.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or greater.
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and demonstration of interest in pursuing a educational and professional path in mathematics.
  • Must be a US Citizen

Steps for applying:

  1. Register for conference at: www.ipam.ucla.edu/elements/IPC_Application.aspx
  2. Complete second half of registration form, this will also make you eligible for receiving travel support if you are coming from out of town.
  3. Send an email to info@ipcmath.org saying you wish to be considered for the Oracle Infinite Possibilities College Scholarship.
